Description:
Pain,
stiffness and a "creaky" feeling is felt in the Anterior Tibial
muscles at the front of one or both shins. Occurs due to the overuse
of the Anterior Tibial muscles, such as excessive training or running
when the muscles are not accustomed to a sudden increase in workload.
BioStim
can be used as an immediate first aid measure to relieve pain and increase
electro-chemical activity, to speed the rate of healing. Any work loads
on the affected leg should be reduced substantially or ceased altogher.
BioStim should also be used to strengthen
the Anterior Tibial muscles after pain relief has been achieved, to
prevent a reoccurance.
Placement
of Applicators:
One
electrode at the top and bottom of the affected shin, or a few inches
on either side of the painful region.
