Description:
The
is a common sporting injury, caused by twisting forces and is often
referred to as a 'torn cartilage'. Pain is usually felt when the knee
is fully bent or straightend, and the tear itself may limit the knee
from extending fully.
This
injury is very often a limiting factor to continuing high level sports
- and usually requires an operation. BioStim however, is an important
pain relieving measure and may help delay the need for surgery (in some
cases it may even negate the need for an operation). BioStim should
also be used to strengthen the thigh
muscles that will get weaker with inactivity.
Placement
of Applicators:
One
electrode on either side of the knee.
